1996July 21, 1996 Cambrils Park opened. Then a camping with 400 plots located on a former arable farm of 19 hectares. From the original farm, a typical peasant style farmhouse was restored, becoming the actual La Masia restaurant. The first pool (Polynesian Sea) and a bar (Forum) were also constructed. With 60 employees and up to 1200 customers, it was the only campsite on the Costa Dorada with luxury category status.
1998Cambrils Park expands to have 800 plots, and receives the first awards at national and international level. This year it was awarded the prize for Best Camping in Europe by the DCC (German Camping Club) and the Tourism Merit Diploma by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
2000The first 70 bungalows, Aloha, are built. Inspired by Polynesia, they represent the first step towards the theming of the resort. While at the international level it was becoming one of the best campsites in Spain and all of Europe.
2003Cambrils Park maintains its commitment to innovation and progress. With 160 bungalows, finishes the Polynesian area. In addition, the Caribbean Jungle, a second children's pool decorated with elephants and water features is built.
2009Backed by the success of the Aloha bungalows, now begins the work of the new Carib area, and the first 79 villas Bonitas are opened.
2010Continuing with the extending of the Caribe area with 85 new villas. Next to the bar El Paraiso and the Caribbean Port. With its pirate ship, this pool becomes one of the most iconic places of Cambrils Park.
2012Cambrils Park ceases to have a camping area. Instead, begins to build the most ambitious project in its history, La Mediterrània. 170 apartments, a new swimming pool, restaurant, boutique, beauty centre, playground, and a building to house the head offices of the company. With the new themed area, the Family Resort receives an upgrade to 4* Superior category.
2013Following the opening of Complex Esportiu Futbol Salou, Cambrils Park begins its journey as a Sport Village, offering accommodations and services adapted to athletes during the winter months. Mainly soccer players and cyclists come to hold their Winter trainings in the Resort, thus de-seasonalising the tourist season.
2014An extension of the restaurant La Masia to offer Buffet service, and a new fitness centre & Spa, allow Cambrils Park provide a complete service for every month of the year, adapting to customer needs at all times.
2018We start the season with the Polynesian Sea Pool remodeled and more themed, new slides, new pavement and a large mosaic. In addition, we modify the water treatment by implanting the salt- based system. We started a process to improve the accommodations. In the Mediterrània we have changed the showers and renewed the televisions. In the Aloha bungalows, we replace the roofs with a material with more durability. We also modernize the bakery and renovate its furniture.
2019We start the season with the Caribbean Jungle renewed, where we have put a new surface. The paving stone chosen will give a fresh and modern image to the swimming area. We have also invested on a better sound system for the show area. In addition, we have finished the improvement works that began last season.
2020Invested in a significant improvement to offer the clientele an excellent technological experience, by installing fibre optics in all the accommodations and IP in all Resort’s televisions. Additionally, the restaurant La Masia has been fully renovated, being now at the forefront of design. The Delifood space has been restructured to offer clients a complete offer with an area for hot meals and an ice-cream parlour –yogurt shop. It has also started the first phase of the refurbishment of the Snack-Bar Fòrum with the enlargement of the covered terrace.
